Happy are the people

Psalm 32

For First Holy Communion - May 2018

  • Refrain:
Happy are the people the Lord has chosen as God's own.
Happy are the people the Lord has chosen as God's own.
  1. The word of the Lord is faithful
and all God's works are trusted.
The Lord loves justice and right
and fills the earth with love.
  2. By God's word the heavens were made,
God's breath gave life to the stars.
God spoke they came to be,
one command, they sprang to life.
  3. Lord looks on those who revere God,
on those who hope in God's love,
to rescue their souls from death,
to keep them fed through famine.
  4. Our soul is waiting for God,
the Lord, our help and shield,
May your love be upon us, O Lord,
as we place all our hope in you.
