I will praise you, Lord

Psalm 29

  • Refrain:
    I will praise you, Lord,
    you have rescued me;
    I will praise you, Lord,
    you have saved and rescued me.
  1. I will praise you, Lord, you have rescued me
    and have not let my enemies rejoice over me.
    You have raised my soul from the dead,
    given me life from those who sink into the grave.
  2. Sing psalms to God, you who love the Lord,
    give thanks to God's holy name.
    Anger lasts a moment, but favour through life.
    At night there are tear but joy comes with dawn.
  3. The Lord had pity and listened,
    The Lord came to my help.
    For me you've changed my mourning to dancing,
    O Lord, my God, I thank you for ever.
